ISS2020’s Access program offers teachers the opportunity to engage with international faculty through class observation, peer discussions and pedagogic methodologies from English National Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, Houston Ballet Academy & Queensland Ballet Academy.

ACCESS Program Aims

  • To offer teachers the opportunity to observe ISS2020’s international guest faculty conduct classes at various levels

  • To provide a platform for teacher discussion and review of current & effective international teaching practices in a safe environment 

  • To discuss & reflect upon different pedagogical styles from acclaimed international finishing schools

  • To empower teachers to nurture emotionally resilient and artistically conscious dancers

Access Learning outcomes

  • To have an understanding of creating and teaching effective enchainements 

  • To evaluate different international teaching methods

  • To critically reflect on current international teaching strategies for effective learning

  • To understand methods of encouraging creativity and artistry 

  • To reflect on strategies for teaching the resilient dancer of the 21st century
