youth.ballet returns in 2019 offering pre-professional students direct access to the international arts community. Studying 21st century repertoire exclusively, participants will be introduced to the work of acclaimed contemporary choreographer Wayne McGregor as well as participate in new creations by ISS2019’s ‘Choreographer in Residence’ Paul Boyd and fellow peers of the program.

International Summer School’s youth.ballet is a platform for talented pre-professional dancers from full-time and private training schools, to come together outside of competitive arenas, to gain collective experiences while fostering positive community values.

Laura Graham working with students at ISS2018

ISS2018 Youth Ballet course provided a taste of what it is like to be a professional dancer. The creative process with working choreographers and ballet masters provided the opportunity to grow as a performer. The performances at the end of the two weeks were of an exceptional standard. The friendships formed amongst the students and with the staff were a pleasure to observe.
